They're here at last!  My gorgeous handmade knickers in vintage fabrics.  You have to go to the Vintage Parade in Chichester on the 21 July to buy them though.  For details of how to get there and what's on please checkout the site at: http://www.vintageparade.co.uk

In sizes 8 to 16, these yummy knickers are beautifully soft and comfortable, in fact I only wear my knickers now, as they make me feel very spesh!

Each pair are unique, no two the same, how can you resist.  Nobody else will have a pair of knickers like you, and they are a great little present for that special girlfriend or mum!

Go on girls, wave the British flag, and buy a quality pair of bloomers, handmade in good old Blighty!

See you in Chichester!

The Vintage Parade - 21 July 2012

My next sale will be at The Vintage Parade in Chichester on the 21 July 2012.  This is an amazing event showcasing everything from clothes to cakes, kitchenalia to toys, and you can even have your hair done by on site hairdressers in vintage style, plus lots more.  I am really looking forward to it.  This will be my first time there, and am told that everyone makes the effort and dresses up creating a fabulous vintage atmosphere.  I shall of course be donning my vintage tea dress, red lips and heels for such an event!

On my stall I shall have my new "Betty" bags made from gorgeous vintage and reclaimed fabrics, plus buttons, corsages, hair pins, brooches, and my handmade knickers, not to be missed!!

I really look forward to seeing you all there for a fantastic day.  For more information please go to http://www.vintageparade.co.uk

Back to Work!

I've had a lovely Easter with my two children, but tomorrow they are back to school, and I am looking longingly at my redundant sewing machine and productionless sewing room.....I am bursting to get back to work in the morning, I can't wait!

Meanwhile the leather handles are in reaching distance. I have a lovely man making me a stamp for my business name to be embossed on them and I have now chosen a great font, so very exciting.  Watch this space!

06 April 2012

I have been busy making bunting, the proper old fashioned way as far as I am concerned, not overly commercial with heavy padding and double sided, but simple, and with a pinking shears finish, enabling it to blow about and dance in the wind as it should!  It's made from my vintage off-cuts and sold in three metre lengths.  Each is a unique mish-mash of colours, and mainly floral.  Limited stock so if you would like some please go to the link to buy.  http://junieandjack.bigcartel.com/

Mad as the March Hare!

It's March and I don't know where the time has gone! After a busy and lovely Christmas my poor children caught a nasty stomach bug for a few weeks, which set us all back.  But both are well again and after getting back to school briefly, are now off for their Easter break, and I am really looking forward to spending some time with them, in good health!   In the meantime I have had my head down, marketing, designing and of course sewing! I have been working with a leather worker this month and hopefully I should have my own bespoke leather handles for my large "Betty" tote bag within a week or two.  This has been a long process, not only to find a good leather worker who can help, but also coming up with a design and working out whether it will be cost effective for both him and myself.  I can't wait for the end result, and will post a picture as soon as I have my very first pair.  In the meantime production has been good, and I have many lovely bags finished, and awaiting their new handles.  I am also in the process of building my new website which will allow you to buy directly from me, again the details of which will be posted shortly on my blog.
